How Is Gr2 Titanium Bar Applied in Harsh Industrial Environments?

Gr2 Titanium Bar

Grade 2 titanium bar for harsh industrial service. A Grade 2 bar can be evaluated only after the component geometry, material condition, process route and operating environment are known. “Harsh environment” is not a specification: the responsible engineering team needs the actual chemistry, temperature, load and inspection requirements.

Turn the application into a controlled order

  • State Grade 2, the applicable material specification, diameter, length, tolerance, surface and delivery condition.
  • Describe machining, joining, heat exposure and contact materials.
  • Identify the process medium, concentration, contaminants, temperature, pressure and load cycle.
  • Specify lot traceability, material certificate and any agreed supplementary test.

The supplied bar and the finished component must be assessed separately. A bar certificate cannot establish a universal corrosion result, clinical suitability, pressure approval or fixed service life.

See the titanium rod category and send a technical RFQ with the drawing and acceptance basis.

FAQ

What is the first question for a corrosion-related bar enquiry?

Define the real medium and operating cycle rather than relying on an industry label.
